A chair that J.K. Rowling wrote Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets on is going be re-auctioned to benefit Books Abroad, a charity that sends free school books to impoverished countries. It was originally auctioned by Chair-ish a Child for the NSPCC in 2002 and it sold for £15,000.
Matthew Ford, the art dealer organising the sale, said: “It’s a chair you’d pay a tenner for in a junk shop but, historically, it’s the most important chair in Muggledom, and probably one of the most exceptional and rare pieces of Harry Potter memorabilia ever likely to be offered for sale. “To a Harry Potter fan this is as good as it gets. It is part of the story, part of JK Rowling’s story. Whoever wins it is buying a piece of literary history.”
Proving its authenticity, the chair comes complete with a special Owl Mail signed by Rowling and addressed to the ‘new owner of my chair’. The letter explains that she was given four mismatched dining room chairs in 1995 and, because it was the most comfortable, it was this one that ended up at her desk in front of her typewriter. The author finishes off the letter with the comment: “My nostalgic side is sad to see you go but my back isn’t.”
You can place a bid on the chair here and the auction ends on Sunday the 26th! It is currently at £4,500.00 (if only I were rich).
Thanks SS!

Thanks to SS we know that Angelica Mandy confirmed at the London Film and Comic Con, during a talk with James & Oliver Phelps, that she would reprise her role as Gabrielle Delacour in Deathly Hallows. According to the source:
She even likened the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour, the filming she will be involved with, to the Yule Ball scenes in Goblet of Fire, since it will feature ‘a lot of people’ and be ‘a lot of fun’. She also mentioned that she’s excited to return, particularly because of the similarities.
