Daniel Radcliffe has done a new interview where he discusses the new book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

When did you in fact get to start reading it?
I actually wrote, in the front of my book, the exact time of me starting to read it. I think it was 9:30 at night on the 22nd of July, which was the day before my [18th] birthday. I read two chapters on that day, which wasn’t very much at all, of course. About page 30, I got to. Then I actually didn’t get to read [any of] it again for another couple of days. I started again on the 24th and 25th, and over those two days or so, I seemed to completely demolish it. I read 350 pages in one day at one point.

These are not the correct e-mail addresses for publicists Vanessa Davies and Amy Robertson and any e-mails received from these addresses are a hoax.

Some of you fans will know about the San Diego Comic-Con. It is an event where they have lots of props and other fun things from movies. Harry Potter things were at this event, and they have been in past times as well. One of our Magical-Menagerie readers, Pamela, went to the event and took tons of pictures for our gallery!

This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly has a tribute to Harry Potter, with a few articles (36 PAGES, as it says on the cover!) on the series. There is also an online interview with Dan, see that HERE.

It’s hard to imagine that J.K. Rowling would have any regrets about Harry Potter, not after her epic fictional hero delivered her from public assistance, introduced millions of children to the joys of reading and made Rowling one of the most celebrated authors of this or any other generation.

Rowling praised the five movies filmed so far, saying that they perfectly capture her vision, and said she wanted to be first in line when Universal Studios, whose parent company is NBC Universal, opens its Harry Potter theme park.
