I just found out that Magical-Menagerie is number 8 on the The 50 Greatest Harry Potter Fansites list that RAHP Online made. They had their viewers say their favorite sites and the top 50 were put into a video that you can see HERE. Coming in ahead of MM were:

Moviehole.net has an interview with December Boys director Rod Hardy. In the interview he talks about the movie and discusses how he cast Dan for the role.

“The way I found Daniel is – I’d seen a film called Finding Neverland, with Johnny Depp and young Freddie Highmore; I really liked Freddie. I thought ‘there’s an up and coming young actor who could bring a lot of heart to the film. His mother is a big agent in London, she read the screenplay and loved it. She became very interested in the project. Then, as months progressed, she said ‘How would you feel about having Daniel Radcliffe in your picture?’, and I was a bit surprised – he wasn’t my first choice, but only because I didn’t think we had a chance – but I agreed to let her pass the script onto [Radcliffe’s] parents. They then passed it onto him. Within 48 hours there was a response back saying ‘they all love it!’. So for a while there we had both Freddie Highmore and Daniel Radcliffe.”

Helena Bonham Carter, Bellatrix Lestrange in the Potter films, will be back for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! She. however, won’t start filming until Spring 2008, probably because she is PREGNANT(Congrats)!

She is cast again for the sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, scheduled to begin filming in two months for a November 2008 release. Her publicist said yesterday that Bonham Carter was not due back on the Potter set until the spring.
