Scholastic has made an announcement about JKRs book tour:
Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, and U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter series, today announced the 40 Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) schools that will participate in the Los Angeles stop of the “J.K. Rowling Open Book Tour”. LAUSD Superintendent David Brewer III welcomed Scholastic to Los Angeles, and Chief Instructional Officer Ronni Ephraim announced the participating schools, as Francie Alexander, Chief Academic Officer for Scholastic, handed out “Sorting Hats” to representatives from participating schools (listed below) to help each school select 40 lucky third through twelfth graders who will attend the event on October 15th. The students they choose will join Ms. Rowling at the Kodak Theatre as she reads from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, answers questions about the entire series, and signs a book for every student!

BOY WIZARD MADE READING FUN AND GLASSES COOL.
And as we all know, thats Harry! And the man who got the puzzle knew too! So yay for him.

As many of you probably know today marks the 6th anniversary of the horrbile events that took place on September 11, 2001. We should all take some time to remember those who lost their lives and loved ones on this tragic day.

Warner Bros.just announced another HUGE milestone for the Harry Potter films! They are now the “Top-grossing film franchise worldwide. Ever.”
According to numbers-crunchers at the studio, the first five installments in the wizarding film series have amassed more than $4.47 billion worldwide, passing the worldwide B.O. for all previous 22 James Bond films and the six “Star Wars” movies.
Bond, which dates back to 1962, has generated $4.44 billion worldwide and the “Star Wars” pics have pulled down $4.23 billion since the first release in 1977. None of the tallies account for inflation or rising ticket prices.
And since there are 2 movies still to come it will get even higher! Congrats HP!

Could you see yourself ever moving to New York? I love England. I’m not patriotic in that jingoistic ‘I hate other countries’ way, but I’m proud of England and bits of its history. So I don’t think I could live in the U.S. But ask me in 10 years.
