This September is the 10th anniversary the release of Sorcerer’s Stone  in the United States! They announced that a Special Anniversary Edition which features a beautiful new cover illustrated by Mary GrandPre and “exclusive bonus material from J.K. Rowling.” will be released on September 23rd and will be $30!

Mary GrandPre said, “It’s a real treat for me to get another chance to visually bring Harry back to his fans in not only a new scene, but in a new light. Going back to draw the first cover for the anniversary edition was an opportunity for me to show another side of Harry… a vulnerable side. Having come to know and love Harry the way we all have, after experiencing the whole series, I think we can appreciate him even more on an emotional level.”

The Sunday Mail has a new interview with Tiana Benjamin, who played Angelina Johnson in the first 4 Harry Potter films.

“It was a very, very, very small part. Angelina was captain of the Quidditch team for Gryffindor House. It always comes up in interviews but my mum has told me to stop talking about it because it’s getting embarrassing. It looks like I’m bigging myself up so much and it’s getting a bit cringe-making. But I am so proud to have been even a small part of Harry Potter that I can’t help going into it.”

I was signed to do Order Of The Phoenix when I got offered EastEnders. I couldn’t believe my luck. Initially, it looked like the whole thing could be worked around the Harry Potter film, which was being filmed over nine months. But the dates kept changing, it all got a bit tricky and my agent told me I had to make a choice. I got very upset initially but then I realised I was being selfish and should be grateful for having the choice. It was lucky they realised before they started filming or I could have ended up with nothing.

Miriam Margoyles who plays Professor Pomona Sprout, in the Harry Potter films is celebrating her 67th birthday today!!
