If you recall, JK Rowling wrote a prequel to the Harry Potter series that was auctioned off today and sold for £25,000 ($48,855 U.S.)
J.K. Rowling’s handwritten prequel to the “Harry Potter” novels fetched 25,000 pounds ($48,855) at a charity auction in London tonight. The signed, 800-word tale was one of 13 “storycards” written on sheets of A5 paper being offered by Waterstone’s, a U.K. bookseller. The signed piece concludes with the teasing words “from the prequel I am not working on — but that was fun!”
Fans will be able to read the prequel online tomorrow (June 11th) on Waterstone’s official site
In an interview with Ben Barns on Reel Talk, the interviewer asks him if he worries he will become like Harry Potter, aka Dan Rad. It is at 2:25 in the video below.
Finally some more HP news, ha ha. Warwick Davis, who has had multiple roles in the Harry Potter films, recently did an interview with MTV News!
Surprisingly, though, given that Flitwick is given some fairly heroic things to do at the Battle of Hogwarts (€You€™ll do no more murder at Hogwarts!€) the scenes Davis is most looking forward to are the sequences with Griphook the Goblin. €œI very much like the scenes with Griphook,€ Davis deadpanned recently when asked to name his favorite scene in €œDeathly Hallows.€ €œI think that€™s a great character to have involved more in the film.€In the meantime, though, Davis has to content himself with a small role as Flitwick in €œHalf-Blood Prince,€ telling MTV News that the character continues to act as the €œlight relief.€ €œMy character seems to get involved in fun stuff now,€ Davis said. €œI€™ve had an immensely enjoyable time again. It€™s a real honor to be a part of number 6.
