Tom Mentioned in Interview
Posted by Megs

Feltbeats has a new interview with Johnny Kevorkian who is the director of Tom Felton’s new film, The Disappeared. There are a bunch of new shots of Tom as Simon at the link above.

FB: How did Tom’s experience with the Harry Potter movies impact his role in your movie?
JK: I think what Tom brings to the role of Simon from the Harry Potter series really is the experience of years of acting from a young age and being a truly professional actor, this really worked in the films favour.

FB: What is Tom’s biggest scene in the movie?
JK: One of the bigger scenes which features Tom was the car wrecking yard scene. It was a long scene with lots of scripted dialogue which we had to cover in just a morning. Normally you would have around a day and a half at least to cover the scene – we had three hours to nail it in.

Another Reason for HBP move?
Posted by Megs

Fox news has a new article that states another reason for WB moving the release of HBP.  It is not an official reason, just another scenario for why they could have moved the film.

Officially, there is no reason, except that “a spot opened on the summer schedule.”  That’s not much of a reason. The real story? Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will be right in the middle of his sensational, highly publicized run on Broadway in the play, “Equus.” […] That’s not the image Warner Bros. wants associated with bespectacled Harry, who remains chaste and virginal.

[…] For the movie to open on Nov. 21, Radcliffe would have to do publicity entailing answering questions about blinding horses and having sex with them vs. flying around and making potions. Warner Bros. does not want this scenario. By the time “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” debuts, “Equus” will either have concluded its run or Radcliffe will have completed his contract. And there will be little mention of any horsing around.

Still no Decision for HBP Video Game
Posted by Megs

Edge-Online has a new article out about the effect the push back of the Half-Blood Prince movie will have on the release of the video game.

Analyst Todd Greenwald with Signal Hill said, “Though EA is not to blame for this delay, the negative impact will likely be the same nonetheless. … We doubt that EA will attempt to release the title without the movie. It’s definitely a reversal of the way things usually work. Usually the movie’s on time, and EA’s late with the game.  But EA has the game pretty much done and ready, now the movie’s delayed.”

EA has yet to announce a final decision on the matter. The publisher told Edge in an e-mail,  “We are making a great game that Harry Potter fans will really enjoy–we are evaluating the impact of the movie date change.”

More news will be posted as this develops

New Film for Dan?
Posted by Megs

The Birmingham Post has an interview the screenwriter of Lip Sync,  he mentioned that the script has been sent to Dan Radcliffe. This does not mean that Dan has been cast in the film, but I will update you if any more news about this surfaces!

“I have spoken to his agent and he loves the script. It would be great for him to play a romantic lead. Alex is not somebody who is particularly smooth and I can’t think of anyone better to play it than Daniel. He has got that awkwardness but he is still handsome, and both boys and girls like him.”

Thanks SS!
