Harry Potter.com has been updated to add a new section called Harry Potter wishlist. It shows loads of Harry Potter merchandise, and you can win a trip to the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
SciFi has a new interview with Alan Rickman and he discusses Deathly Hallows.
“Well, it’ll be a big finish, won’t it?” Rickman said. “That’s true, and appropriately. You can feel it now, the size of the undertaking. Watching Daniel [Radcliffe], I saw a trailer for him being on Inside the Actor’s Studio, and you think, ‘Wait a minute, he’s 12! Oh. Perhaps he isn’t.'”
The new production schedule also affects Rickman personally. “Well, because they have to get me and Ralph Fiennes together, it means I don’t start shooting it until the end of next year, which means I get room now in this coming year,” he said. “So it’s going to be long. I was talking to Helena yesterday. I think she starts in June, and she goes on for a long time.”
Steve Vander Arks’ Harry Potter Lexicon book will now be released next year after he makes some changes to the content. Details about the changes can be read here.
“An Unauthorized Guide to Harry Potter Fiction and Related Materials” appears boldly below “The Lexicon” title and above author Steve Vander Ark’s name. A full paragraph on the otherwise sparse cover further details the fact that neither Rowling nor a host of others with trademarks and other interests in the Harry Potter series had any part in the book.
The first Sneak Peak from ABC Family’s Harry Potter Weekend is now online! In it we see David Heyman, Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson talk about the plot of the film and we get to see some clips.
Enjoy! I will post the rest as they come online! (might be a little late with it tomorrow because I will be out most of the day)
Mugglenet has a report online about JK Rowlings Beedle the Bard reading and they mention that a bunch of HP stars attended!
Also in attendance were Ian Rankin, Matthew Lewis, Devon Murray, and Evanna Lynch. I introduced myself to Evanna as “Christie from MuggleNet.” She lit up at the sound of the site, and told me that the event was amazing and “it’s always so nice to hear her reading.”
She said that it was more personal to hear Jo reading her own work, and that she was “really impressed with the fairy tales.” We chatted about how moral the stories are, and Evanna was kind enough to humor us by letting us take some photos together.
There are two new David Heyman interviews out. In the first he discusses the Deathly Hallows split and in the second he talks about Half-Blood Prince.
“It’s different than the other films. It’s not the non-stop action that some of the others are, although there is some action. It’s more of an emotional film …We’re following these multiple stories that enrich the canvas.”
Included [on ABC Family’s Potter weekend]: a look into the tortured past of Lord Voldemort/Tom Riddle, an introduction to the new Potions teacher, Professor Slughorn, and scenes of budding love in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The film has a more complex story arc, filmmakers say.
