My internet is going really slow today so it might take a bit to get new news up but I will do my best!

I had an article on this a few days ago but since I lost all my news I thought I would add it again.
Someone on facebook has started a petition to have an International Harry Potter Day be an official holiday on July 21st. So go to the link below and sign the petition! He wants to get one million signatures!
The starter of the petition says(a few exerpts):
I felt the best way to keep excitement alive is for all Harry Potter fans to commemorate and celebrate the saga together once a year, via an international Harry Potter Day! My goal is to have 1,000,000 people sign my petiion by Harry Potter Day and release of the final book, July 21st.
As Hermione said, “[it] is to promote international magical cooperation, to make friends,” what better reason is there than that! So sign up!

A handful of parents in Montgomery County plan to file suit attempting to remove the book from all public school libraries on the grounds that it promotes witchcraft.  J.K. Rowling’s books about a boy wizard, Harry Potter, continue to top the American Library Association’s annual most-banned books list with over 400 attempts to ban the novel in 2006.

The towns policy on removing books from shelves is very simple. Only one person needst to challenge a book for it to be removed because of religious, social, sexual or ethical grounds.  Apparently, they can also challenge a legitimate work of literature on the basis of “promoting witchcraft.”

According to the American Camp Association, many summer camps will make changes (later bedtimes/more free time), when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is released in July.

Scott Weinstein, director of Maine’s Camp Med-O-Lark, has also fielded inquiries from parents anxious to get the book into their kids’ hands, so he is planning a field trip to a bookstore for his campers. Peter Kassen of Maine’s Hidden Valley Camp is issuing a gag order for his faster readers. “We as a community will be sworn to secrecy,” he says. “We want to make sure the surprises aren’t spoiled for the younger kids.” Kleinman is ordering dozens of books for counselors to read aloud to campers, and they’ll be using the book for clout. “Getting them to bed is always a challenge, but we’re going to tell them we aren’t reading until they get in bed.” Eleven-year-old Jake Kern, the camper whose father requested a midnight run, was satisfied to know that counselors will read the book aloud, but when he gets his own copy, he’ll read it straight through, neglecting even archery and baseball if he must. “Once I start it, I probably won’t put it down until I finish it,” he says.

I am starting to add articles to the gallery. So far I have 3 articles in there. A one page about Clemence Posey, a bit about Dan in Extras, and 13 pages from Xpose Magazine(still finishing uploading these).

When I go home for my break later this month I will try to scan in more of the articles I have at home to add them.

HPANA has added another new review of Order of the Phoenix from Ain’t it Cool News.

The viewer gives the film a B+. But he has not read the books so that may have contributed to this low grade. I think it will be a great movie.
