Press Release about Early DH Review
Posted by Megs

As I posted this morning, the New York Times posted an early review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Bloomsbury has now released an official press release. Click read more to see the press release. JKR says in the release:

‘I am staggered that American newspapers have decided to publish purported spoilers in the form of reviews in complete disregard of the wishes of literally millions of readers, particularly children, who wanted to reach Harry’s final destination by themselves, in their own time. I am incredibly grateful to all those newspapers, booksellers and others who have chosen not to attempt to spoil Harry’s last adventure for fans.’

JKR helps search for Maddie
Posted by Megs

JKR has made a deal with all stores selling Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, due for release on the 21st. The deal consists of all stores having a poster on show within their store. These posters will show 3 pictures of Madeliene with the words ‘Have you seen this child?’. This therefore means that these posters will be featured globally, starting in english speaking contries and expanding to the world. This is JKR’s second attempt to help the cause after first donating money to the reward fund.

This is what Jo had to say on the matter:  “I fervently hope that posters displayed prominently in shops all over the world when the new book comes out will help find Madeleine McCann and will raise the profile of the many other missing children in different countries”.

Thanks to Harry Potter Fan Zone for the quote.
