James Phelps has updated his Twitter today to let us know that he enjoyed his first day on the set of Deathly Hallows! James plays Fred Weasley in the Harry Potter films.
Had a great 1st day on HP7. Really had a great time.now off for a meal in London with the tour guys.:)
Evanna Lynch and James and Oliver Phelps promoted Half-Blood Prince in Malaga, Spain and there are new interviews with them online. Read Evanna’s interview here and the Phelps twins, here (they are in Spanish). They will also visit Jerez and Seville. Here are a few rough translations from the interviews, if anyone can give better translations send them in!:
What do you have in common with Luna Lovegood? Evanna: Both have an open mind, we like to develop our own view of things without which no one influence. What separates us is that I am down to earth. Never say that I am because that would mean she would not grow. I do not think that is a world of fantasy, but in their own world. Where we should be all.
Are you Potter fans? Oliver: Yes, we are faithful followers of the saga. The story is fantastic, the plot came close to genius. Although we were not in the division, both read all seven books and follow the saga on film. After six movies, they feel comfortable in the filming or continue being nervous when they see or go to Michael Gambon Alan Rickman? James: After so long the truth is that we are more comfortable. The first day I saw was absolutely nervous, I could not believe it.But now I see it as something natural. After nine years, one comes to get used to feeling comfortable on the set. We have reached a point where they feel you are working, there is such a good roll all that seems more a game. What went well, we’re all very good friends.
Today, Matthew Lewis has confirmed on his Twitter that Bonnie Wright does not have a Twitter, he also states that the only Potter stars he knows of with Twitter are James, Oliver and Tom. So remember if you see ANY Dan, Emma and Rupert twitters it is NOT THEM! The same goes for Facebook, even if they have accounts they will not add fans!
The only Twitters that I know are real are James and Ollie Phelps and Tom Felton. Others may be but I don’t know! Bonnie’s definitely aren’t
I spoke to Bonnie yesterday. She doesn’t have a Twitter. I’ll be sure to let you know if she becomes a convert!
I’m sure other people at the studio have them but I can only tell you about the ones that I know for a fact are real.
Just a reminder that a few Harry Potter stars will be in attendance at the London Film and Comic Convention! Today Josh Herdman (Goyle) and Nina Young (Grey Lady) will attending the event.
Tomorrow James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George) as well as Angelica Mandy (Gabrielle Delacour) will be in attendance!.
While promoting Half-Blood Prince James and Oliver Phelps talked about Harry Potter, duh ;).
You were 14 when you were on the audition, what you thought about the books then?
Oliver: I had read all that had come out at the time, Goblet of Fire was the last. It was slightly surreal because when you read, you can see the characters for themselves in the head and I saw James for me and I like Fred and George because we were twins. And when we started filming I was that I began to see me for the cast as Dan, as Emma, as Rupert and all the others, and so did I still when I read Deathly Hallows two years ago. – The difference is only that when you read that they go from the story to living through the corridors, for me as it is to exit a scene, over the parking lot and into another. It is quite strange. Why exactly were you were chosen?
James: Janet Hudson said she had raised eyebrows as soon as we entered the door. I think we had the look they were after. Oliver: We had a test in front of the camera not long after with the director Chris Columbus, who was American. He asked who of us who would win a “fight”. “Fight” on the U.S. means a discussion, while in the UK means the fist fight. James: … So I said “I would win, I have a pretty good left hook”, and he not only understood what I was talking about. There was much that was new for us in the beginning.
