GoF to air on ABC
Posted by Megs

Quoting from TLC because I need to run:

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” will be making it’s American network television debut on ABC Saturday April 26 at 8pm (ET). There are also rumors swirling regarding this too, claiming ABC may show new footage of Half-Blood Prince during the film. While this is very much unconfirmed, it is possible they will be airing some of the sneak peek excerpts of HBP as seen already on the OotP DVD, however at this point, we simply do not know what, if any, new preview will be aired. We are working to find out more about this, and will update with more when we can!

20 Great Pop Culture Sweaters
Posted by Megs

Harry Potter’s ‘H’ knitted jumper has made Entertainment Weekly’s 20 Great Pop Culture Sweaters list. It is among sweaters such as, Danny’s track sweater in Grease, Happy Days sweaters and more! It is picture number 7 when you click that link above.

HARRY POTTER

Because young’uns always look cuter in woven wear, the Harry Potter movies have used them liberally, in everything from the kids’ school uniforms to the warm, but scratchy looking numbers ”knitted” (isn’t magic a great thing?) by Mrs. Weasley.

Thanks Dom!

MSN's desired Oscar
Posted by Megs

MSN has made a list of Oscar categories which they’d like to see. Harry Potter is included in some of them!

Acceptance Speech We’d Most Like to Hear

So, our two nominees for this category are Emma Thompson, who played a wonderfully weepy Sybil Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Tom Hanks, who played Charlie Wilson in the eponymous war movie.

And the Oscar goes to …

Thompson, because we’d rather laugh than cry.

Most Toxic On-Screen Chemistry

For 2007, we call out Daniel Radcliffe and Katie Leung, who played Harry Potter and Cho Chang in Order of the Phoenix.

And the Oscar goes to …

The Potter kids. The kiss between Harry and Cho was among the most-hyped events of the summer, and these two definitely did not get their OWLs in chemistry. Brr. Bring on Ginny Weasley.
