An article in New York magazine suggests a few British actors for parts in the Half Blood Prince movie:
-
Jim Broadbent as Horace Slughorn
-
Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour
-
Daniel Day-Lewis as Marvolo Gaunt
-
Kristin Scott Thomas as Narcissa Malfoy
-
Ian McShane as Fenrir Grayback
-
Michael Sheen as the Prime Minister
Remember that these are just thoughts as to who would be good for the parts, we don’t even know which characters will be cut from the movie. I think Bill Nighy would be really good for someone in the movie, he was great in Pirates as Davy Jones. And the other people sound pretty good too.

Over the past few weeks I have mentioned TWO mystery roles in HBP. HPANA had this to say:
David Heyman confirmed the casting of two 11-year-old red-haired children for the next film, Half-Blood Prince, which is set to begin filming in September.
The actors — Taylor Triphook (a boy) and Katie Head — will play two new, minor characters who are not culled from JK Rowling’s sixth novel. Heyman did not elaborate further. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

In addition to another mystery role I told you about in HBP an 11 year old girl has been cast for the movie.
Katie Head, 11, from Belmont Road in Sutton, beat 250 other Hogwarts hopefuls and will begin filming for The Half Blood Prince on September 24.
“There were about 250 people there, and in the end they chose 24,” she added. “But I think the lady chose me because I was talking to her about Primark.”
I am thinking they are going to play the young boy and girl that are at the orphanage with Tom Riddle. Lets see if I am correct. 🙂

DanRadcliffe.com did an interview with Evanna and Evanna Lynch Online has posted the transcript:
Coralie: “How did you enjoy making this film, what was your experience like?”
EL: “It was amazing! There was never a dull moment. It was always really exciting. It’s not exactly like on the film (I think she meant like in the book), but it is exciting in its own way.”
(She assured us before leaving the Online section that she’ll be back in the next movie.)
I’ve been waiting for the information to come from WB or Evanna herself, and now it’s Official. I can’t wait to see what she’ll be up to on the next film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Taylor Triphook, 11, has been chosen to act in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
But Warner Bros are keeping his role a secret – he won’t find out more about his character until he starts filming in September.
Taylor said: “I can’t wait to see and take part in such a huge film with so many famous actors.
Taylor found out about the role last Friday and his parents immediately arranged for him to have time off from St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School, in Grays, for filming.
