Newsweek has a new interview out with David Heyman.
“There’s continuity, of course, but we’ve encouraged each director to make a film that is his own,” Heyman says.
And his own life, post-“Potter”? “It’s a combination of sadness and excitement, I thinkfor Jo, and for all of us,” he says. “This world has become a huge part of millions and millions of people’s lives. We all love it so much, and I think, afterward, there will be a little hole in our lives for a while.”

This morning Scholastic has officially released what the cover of the Deluxe Edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will look like. They also say what the Edition will include:
In addition to the stunning wraparound cover illustration, the deluxe edition includes never-before-seen full color frontispiece art on special paper. There is also an “Illustration Showcase” insert that features near scale reproductions of Mary GrandPre’s chapter openers. Additionally, the deluxe edition includes an exclusive bonus black-and-white illustration that appears at the end of the “Illustration Showcase”. The custom-designed slipcase is foil stamped and contains a full-cloth case book that has been blind-stamped on the front and back cover with foil stamping on the spine. The book includes full-color endpapers featuring jacket art from the trade edition. The deluxe edition will be a total of 816 pages; the suggested retail price is $65.00 and the print run will be 100,000 copies.
I will try to get a clearer picture soon, I assume the bigger sites will get the bigger picture when they find this news.

Mary GrandPre, the Harry Potter illustrator in the US, has recently done a new interview with the Detroit Free Press.
“I try to make everything have a meaning. … There is a reason why something is in the illustration. I don’t just put it in because it looks better. It really does have to have a meaning or part of the story has to support it.”
“Besides Harry, I would say Hagrid is my favorite character,” Mary says. In fact, Mary has a dog named Chopper that reminds her of Hagrid. He’s a doggie mix: part St. Bernard, part collie, part lab. “He’s a big, wonderful, lovable mutt,” Mary says. He’s also her real-life inspiration for the loveable giant, Hagrid.
