Scholastic, the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter series has gotten a subpoena to help them learn the identify of the culprit who posted scans of pages from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book on the web. A supboena is “a command to appear at a certain time and place to give testimony upon a certain matter.”
Thanks HPANA! (and wikipedia for the definition)

I just wanted to remind all of you lovely readers that this site is and will always be spoiler free. If I do post something that could be a spoiler I will NEVER put it on the main page and will warn you accordingly, so never fear! 🙂
I will also be making sure no spoilers are posted in the comments or on the forums (not like anyone uses the forum anyways). So you can feel safe coming here.
I will probably not be posting much news during the day from Thursday until Monday because my cousins are visiting, so I will be doing my news adding at night. Perfect timing, right? So I won’t even be able to read DH until Saturday night, we have a huge family reunion during the day (I will be up all night if I have to).

If you remember, in May I posted about a Slovenian translating problem. Well I just recieved another email from Harry Potter Slovenia.
It has been officially announced that the Christopher Little Litterary Agency gave the publishing rights for the final book to ‘Mladinska knjiga’, which is very reliable publishing company, the largest one inSlovenia. And our wishes came true! The editors at ‘Mladinska knjiga’decided that the Deathly Hallows would be translated by Jakob Kenda, the translator of the first five books. We are very happy about thisresolution! Hopefully, he will translate the sixth book once again as well, so that the whole series will be complete some day.

In USA Weekend’s July 13-15th issue there is an article called Harry Potter Predictions. They ask some important people what they think will happen in the end. Emerson Spartz from Mugglenet is one of the people they asked.
I will have a scan up in the gallery later.
UPDATE: See the scan HERE or if that brings you to the wrong one try THIS!

In a new article by BBC news, the author discusses how some booksellers in the UK might break the rules and start selling Deathly Hallows early.
The final Harry Potter novel could hit shelves before its official release next week. Some shops are not expected to keep a written agreement which prevents them selling the book before 21 July. “It’s quite possible one will break the embargo,” says Katherine Rushton from The Bookseller magazine. “They’d do it to be first, and for all the PR.” The book’s publishers, Bloomsbury, said it had “no reason to believe anyone would want to ruin the excitement”. “If such a thing were to happen, we believe that the public would make their feelings known by not buying it from such a spoilsport retailer.” However, it added, “it is our intention to vigorously enforce the embargo if required”.
