The National Braille Press has announced that their online auction for a rare edition of all seven Harry Potter books, signed by J.K. Rowling, is now open for bids.

The auction support the Hands On! Books for Blind Children gala. It will be open from October 3rd (today) to October 25th and will finalize with a gala event on October 26th hosted by Tonight Show host, Jay Leno.

Bloomsbury has released their boxed sets for the seven Harry Potter books today. They have released them with:

• Children’s Hardback
• Adult Hardback
• Special Editions

And don’t forget Scholastic will be releasing their boxed set, which is the seven books in a wonderful trunk on October 16th.

In a world that is changing too rapidly even for many children to keep up with, the Harry Potter books can also be enjoyed as the celebration of a largely pre-industrial society. Hogwarts School is in a castle lit by torches and oil lamps and heated by fires; mail is carried by owls, and at the Ministry of Magic memos fly about as paper airplanes.
