I am in a rush so I am just going to quote TLC‘s news article:
Waterstone’s has launched a contest asking the public to submit their own stories. Winners of this event, two adults and one child from the Waterstones.com and store entries, will also appear in a postcard book alongside the authors’ stories. This book will be available for purchase later this year, with proceeds of the sales to benefit Dyslexia Action and English PEN as well.
To enter this contest, click here to download a postcard template to do at home, or use the online form. … In addition to being published in the special book, “the national winners aged over 18 will also win an Arvon Writing Course and winners under 18 will receive £500 of Waterstone’s voucher.”
Good Luck to all who enter!

Gifted for Leadership, an online community of Christian Women, has made up a list of 5 (un)Real Role Models and Harry Potter character Hermione Granger is included!
Hermione Granger (from the Harry Potter book series)”Through the ups and downs of life as a ‘muggle’ in a wizard’s world, this feisty adolescent exemplifies what it looks like to be courageously loyal. Hermione shows us that loyalty to our friends and loved ones doesn’t mean backing down or going along” it means speaking one’s mind, sticking it out through arguments and misunderstandings, and if needed putting one’s life and limb on the line.

The New York times has reported that after 10 years “the Harry Potter books have fallen – as of the May 11 issue of the Book Review, which went to press last night – off The Times’s best-seller list.”
The first book in the series, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, crept quietly onto the bottom of the hardcover fiction list on Dec. 27, 1998. (How far back was that? Eight days earlier, Bill Clinton had been impeached by the House of Representatives.) Within a year and a half, however, Pottermania was in full bloom; the top three places on the hardcover fiction list were held by Rowling titles, and a fourth Potter book was on the way.
