Prisoner of Azkaban featured in a list of the top ten Greatest Novels of All Time. This is a result of a poll by Play.com. See the full list HERE!
Prisoner of Azkaban was number 9 and was beaten by books like To Kill A Mockingbird, Lord of the Rings, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Pride and Prejudice. (I have read all of those, woot!)

If you haven’t already checked, you read the prequel JK Rowling wrote for charity online on Waterstone’s official site. Or click More
It was so awesome! I wish it wasn’t only 800 words. But JK Rowling will not be writing a full prequel so its the best we are going to get. Enjoy!!!!

If you recall, JK Rowling wrote a prequel to the Harry Potter series that was auctioned off today and sold for £25,000 ($48,855 U.S.)
J.K. Rowling’s handwritten prequel to the “Harry Potter” novels fetched 25,000 pounds ($48,855) at a charity auction in London tonight. The signed, 800-word tale was one of 13 “storycards” written on sheets of A5 paper being offered by Waterstone’s, a U.K. bookseller. The signed piece concludes with the teasing words “from the prequel I am not working on — but that was fun!”
Fans will be able to read the prequel online tomorrow (June 11th) on Waterstone’s official site

The Hexham Courant is reporting that Anne Jones broke the world speed reading record. She read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 47 minutes which means 4,251 words per minute. That only beats my reading time by 11 hours. Ha ha. But I was reading sorta slow.
She was part of a team put together by The Times to compile the first online review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Last year, she broke the world speed reading record at a Border’s bookshop in London, by tackling the 250,000 word Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in just over 47 minutes.
“I read and re-read all the previous Harry Potter books beforehand, as I wanted to become as familiar with the plot as possible” she says.
Thanks for the tip SS.
