As most of you probably know, there is a genocide in Darfur (in Sudan, Africa). It has been going on since 2003, and its goal is to exterminate all the blacks living in Darfur. More than 400,000 Darfurians have died in the genocide, and at least another 2.5 million have lost their homes and are now refugees.

Harry Potter fan Andrew Slack has formed the HP Alliance in an effort to have us Harry Potter fans to help end this crisis. Over the next few weeks, the group is organizing a number of Harry Potter house parties around the world.  At these parties Harry Potter fans will gather to talk about Deathly Hallows and what they can do about Darfur.
