Barnes & Noble announced yesterday that pre-orders for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ total more than 1,2 million, the largest number of pre-orders for any book in the company’s history.

EDIT by Megan: As I posted earlier in the month, Amazon.com already broke their record for preorders. They were at 1.6 million, so I can only imagine how high they are now.
