We are pleased to introduce a major expansion coming to our Studio Tour opening July 16, 2015– Stage 48: Script to Screen.
This innovative new addition to the Studio Tour, Stage 48: Script to Screen offers guests the unique opportunity to explore the full film and television production process – from the earliest scripts and casting sessions to the final touches in post-production and the glory of awards season, each component is represented step-by-step throughout the purpose-built soundstage. Among Stage 48’s various interactive elements exclusive to the Studio Tour is the opportunity for guests to re-enact a scene from “Friends” right on the iconic Central Perk set. Guests will also be able to design their own Batmobiles and movie costumes while in the pre-production section. Guests will enjoy “flying” on Harry’s broomstick at the photo opportunity, which employs the same green screen technology used in the “Harry Potter” movie productions.
Additionally, the Studio Tour will feature newly enhanced elements throughout the attraction, including specially recorded messages from the stars of “2 Broke Girls,” “Pretty Little Liars,” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” as well as new video montages highlighting the movies and television shows filmed over the years on the studio’s iconic backlot sets.

Universal has released details on how to win tickets to their Social Media Meet-Up taking place during A Celebration of Harry Potter at the end of the month.
The lucky winners and their guests will tour the grand marble hall of Gringotts Wizarding Bank with Alan Gilmore, Art Director for a number of the Harry Potter films and visionary for the new attraction in Diagon Alley, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. Then descend into the bank vaults to meet with MinaLima, the design team responsible for bringing the Daily Prophet, and more, to life. There will be a chance for Q&As at both stops before you embark on an adventure as you ride Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. There may even be another surprise or two along the way…

Today, Universal Orlando Resort began serving hot Butterbeer to guests at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. They celebrated with guests by surprising some of the first visitors to Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks with complimentary cups of the new beverage.
HOT BUTTERBEER COMES TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT
Guests have tried it cold, frozen – and even as an ice-cream flavor. Beginning today, November 21, 2014, Universal Orlando Resort will now offer hot Butterbeer at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. To celebrate this new addition, some of the first guests at Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley and Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade were surprised with complimentary cups of the new drink.
Hot Butterbeer is a smooth, hot beverage reminiscent of shortbread and butterscotch served year-round with a whipped topping. In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, it will be served at Leaky Cauldron, The Hopping Pot, and The Fountain of Fair Fortune. In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, it will be available at Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head Pub.
Since the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade in June 2010, millions of Butterbeers have been sold each year at Universal Orlando. It has quickly become a guest favorite and appears as a popular drink in the Harry Potter books and films.
