Hey everyone, do you think you are one of Emma’s or Evanna’s biggest fans? If you do I have a job/contest for you! Noahus Magazine – a Danish online publication – is looking for Emma and Evanna’s biggest fans to participate in a small e-mail interview about Emma and Harry Potter, and also Evanna and Harry Potter, and have asked for our help in finding you.
What you need to do is explain in 250 words or less why you’re Emma OR Evanna’s biggest fan. Make sure to tell me your Name, Age, and Country (these have nothing to do with winning, we just want to know where all the great fans are). Email these to me at webmiss[at]magical-menagerie[dot]com with the subject “I’m Emma’s Biggest Fan” or “I’m Evanna’s Biggest Fan”. (replace [at] with @ and [dot] with . )
Let’s get those entries coming! The deadline is February 15th!
Also, I am holding the same contest for Matt fans at Lewis Lovers! Tom Felton Online is also holding a similar contest!
Matt and Tom Felton participated in an interview that aired yesterday on BBC Radio One, can be heard in the middle of the show from 1:06 to 1:17, via the BBC iPlayer.
Here are some snippets:
Tom Felton: We’ve only shot certain parts of [“Deathly Hallows”], so it is actually impossible to say what to look forward to because we haven’t done half of it, but I know the nice thing from a lot of people’s perspective is that usually – well, for the last ten years – we’ve left it “dot dot dot,” to be continued, whereas now, finally, they have the ability to say, “right, this is it, this is the ending.” I hate to say it, but people are dying around you, and it’s something that hasn’t happened in the last ten years of school and now, all of a sudden, you’ve got all these characters that have been there for nine years who are no longer there. […] The severity of the whole thing’s kicked up a notch.
Matt Lewis: There’s no fat suit this year, that much I can tell you. They got rid of the fat suit and it’s good for Neville this year, actually. Again, I’m not going to give too much away, but we’ve had some really cool stuff. The set’s kind of like a set from “Saving Private Ryan” that we’re working on, like D-Day.
Tom Felton: It’s epic and again, without revealing too much, Matt has some fantastic stuff. It’s heroic, I’d even go as far as saying it’s heroic. Heroic and even iconic.
Times Online has a new interview with Tom Felton where he discusses his significant others, those he names as significant others are (with portions of what he said about them):
My mum – At one point I got a part that required filming in Malaysia for four months, so she had to give up her job to come with me. It didn’t mean anything to me at the time, but I hope that in years to come I can repay her.
My one and only girlfriend -Jade is my soulmate and I get on with her better than anyone else. We fell in love on the set of Half-Blood Prince [she was the stunt co-ordinator’s assistant] and have just celebrated our 21-month anniversary.
My brothers – I was the runt of the litter, so I never got to sit on the couch or watch any of the TV programmes I liked. Now our relationship is high on banter, although the times when we are together are few and far between.
My dog – My mum never let us have a dog when we were younger – which, in hindsight, I don’t blame her for – but the first thing I did when I got a house was buy a puppy.
My inspirational director – I had no confidence in my ability to be an actor for the rest of my life, but he embedded a passion for film in me.
My best friends – Everyone used to ask me what my friends thought of Harry Potter and I always felt I had to say they loved it, but I can finally admit that they didn’t have any interest in it whatsoever. But that worked really well for me because, when we met, I could forget about what I do and just be normal.
Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Daniel Radcliffe and Jessie Cave were interviewed for the popular Paul O’Grady Show! You can watch the segment here! There will be a YouTube version soon for those of you, like me, who can’t view the clip!
