Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Introduces Adventure Sync Feature
Posted by Megs

The Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile game will be introducing “Adventure Sync” to it’s game play this week. Players familiar with Pokemon Go will already recognize this as a great asset to playing Niantic games. For the uninitiated, the press release below will explain the details:

This highly-requested feature gives players the option to connect their game to Apple Health or Google Fit to record their walking distance — even when Harry Potter: Wizards Unite isn’t running. Once enabled in the game’s Settings menu, player walking distance will be tallied in the background and applied toward unlocking their Portkey Portmanteaus. The game will also notify players once Portmanteaus are unlocked. Adventure Sync is completely optional and can be turned on or off at any time in the game settings.

Alongside Adventure Sync, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will also release several updates to Portkeys:

• As players unlock Portmanteaus, new artwork will visually differentiate between the different types. 2 km Portmanteaus will reveal a Boot; 5 km a Kettle; and 10 km a Deflated Ball.

• Some Portkey environments that were only available during past Brilliant Events, such as Umbridge’s Office, will be returning.

• Tapping Wrackspurts within any Portkey will now have a chance to reward players with Spell Energy.

• Players may also discover Foundables which weren’t previously collectible from Portkeys.

Dark Arts Comes to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery
Posted by Megs

In addition to Harry Potter: Wizard’s Unite’s Halloween updates, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is also getting in on the action! They’ve released a new trailer sharing the updates!

This October in the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery RPG mobile game, Jam City is unveiling new content and exclusive events to celebrate Dark Arts month! Fenrir Greyback, a notoriously savage werewolf, is making his terrifying return at Hogwarts, while Chiara, one of the most mysterious students at Hogwarts, asks for the players’ help on her “howling” struggles leading up to the night of the full moon. Special Unveil: the most famous werewolf in the Wizarding World, by the name that rhymes with Lemus Rupin, will be making an appearance as well!

This year, not only the Great Hall, but the hallways, dungeons, and House Common Rooms will all be adorned with spooky decor, greeting students with creepy smiling pumpkins at every corner. Players will have the opportunity to partake in events that will award fun costumes and scary face paint looks, so that everyone can look the part for the haunting holiday!
