Back To Hogwarts 2022 – A Look Ahead featuring Hogwarts Legacy
Posted by Megs

To celebrate Back to Hogwarts Day on September 1st, Warner Bros have released a new video with a look ahead at the Hogwarts Legacy game, releasing next February. They have also announced that fans can link their Harry Potter Fan Club account to a Warner. Bros Games account to import their house and wand into the game as well as receive exclusive items.

Based on the Harry Potter Fan Club’s official Sorting Experience, together with the Wand Ceremony, players can bring their authentic self into Hogwarts Legacy. Linking accounts will also unlock a Beaked Skull Mask and exclusive “House Fan-Atic School Robes” in game, a special set of robes so players can represent their Hogwarts house with style.

Players can head to wizardingworld.com/legacyconnect to connect their account and receive the special in-game items when Hogwarts Legacy releases for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Additionally, there was a look at the entrances and interiors of the house common rooms at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  Starting with Slytherin’s entrance hidden behind a slithering arch of a stone serpent, through the lavish Gryffindor common room set in one of the tallest towers, and the warm, brightly lit Ravenclaw lounge, to the not often seen Hufflepuff common room bathed in natural sunlight through a skylight, players will have plenty to explore in the game.

“Harry Potter: Magic Awakened” Reveals Pre-Registration Rewards
Posted by Megs

In celebration of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, WB Games and NetEase have announced that players in the Americas, Europe and Oceania Territories can pre-register to receive an exclusive in-game card pack for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened featuring Fantastic Beasts from the film. The game will be released on iOS and Android later this year.

In Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, players will learn spells and charms that can be cast through the form of cards in wizarding duels and battles with monsters.Summons are a special class of cards that call magical creatures, artefacts or effects onto the battlefield to attack enemies or assist allies. Through strategic deck-building, combining Spells and using Summons, players can overcome the toughest challenges in the Duelling Club or Forbidden Forest.

Inspired by the infant Manticores introduced in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” the in-game Baby Manticore Summon Card is equally menacing and quite formidable when grouped together. With their curled tails, jointed appendages and spiny heads, Baby Manticores somewhat resemble crustaceans, and just like their fully grown counterparts, they are both aggressive and carnivorous. Witches and wizards who are unfortunate enough to encounter a Baby Manticore in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened may quickly find themselves overwhelmed by an entire aggressive swarm.

The Niffler is a magical beast with a long snout and a coat of black, fluffy fur. It lives in burrows deep below ground and is attracted to shiny things, which makes it outstanding at locating treasure. Their affinity for shiny objects often gives them the reputation of being rather sneaky and mischievous – and they’ll have this same predilection for purloining precious objects in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, helping witches and wizards restore their magic points by seeking out treasure in-game.

Romance Feature Coming to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Permanently
Posted by Megs

In honor of Valentine’s Day, romance is coming to the mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery! Players will soon be able to go on dates and “experience romance” in the game. Players were able to go on dates during past events and loved it so much that Jam City have decided to make it a permanent feature, starting February 16th!

Hogwarts Mystery Players who have gotten to Year 5, Chapter 9 will also be able to participate in a Valentine’s Day side quest. Read the full press release to learn more about the new features and Valentine’s events!

Love is in the air…and it’s here to stay. Jam City, a leading mobile entertainment studio, along with Portkey Games, a label from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, today announced the highly anticipated feature update to the No. 1 most downloaded mobile game at launch, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Beginning February 16, players will now be able to go on dates whenever they please, and experience romance permanently in the game.

First introduced in 2019 during a special in-game Celestial Ball event, the element of romance has since appeared on four different occasions and was consistently met with resounding enthusiasm as players have opted to go on a total of 2.9 million dates with an original character of their choice. The romance feature is the number one most requested update by fans.

“Our players are so deeply invested and immersed in their actions within the game that we’re not at all surprised just how well this social feature has performed,” says Sarah Wolf, Game Director at Jam City. “We’re constantly interacting with our player base and receive countless emails and messages from them asking to make dating a permanent feature, so we just had to deliver!”

As part of this update, the romance feature will now include “relationship levels” driven by points earned through gameplay. Once enough points have been accrued, players will advance through various “relationship milestones” that trigger subsequent side quests and activities. New and exciting date locations will unlock based on relationship levels. And as so in real life, players also have the ability to go “exclusive” with their love interest, or “break up” if they aren’t feeling the sparks.

In addition to the dating feature rollout, beginning today, players who have progressed to Year 5, Chapter 9 can experience a Valentine’s Day-themed time-limited side quest event sure to tug at the heartstrings. Students of Hogwarts are thrilled when Professor Dumbledore announces a big Valentine’s Day dance. However, under the organization of Madam Pince, the dance is at risk of being the most boring event of the year with no food or decorations! It is up to the players to make this dance a memorable night for everyone, and to perhaps plant a seed of love between Madam Pince and Mr. Filch.
