The Official UK Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix web site has recently been updated with news that fans can watch the red-carpet premiere live from London on July 3rd.

The premiere will be streamed on the official site starting at 5 pm (BST) and you can check out the World Clock to find out what time that will be at your location.

They did this for Goblet of Fire as well and I watched and it was great. A good substitute since I cannot physically go to the premiere.

Michael Goldenberg, the screenwriter for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has done a new interview.

Mr. Goldenberg’s thoughts on when offered the fifth movie:

It was one of those things where the call came in, and you’re thrilled, but at the same time there’s that moment of realizing you’ve just lost control of your life for the next couple of years.

And so when I read it, I was very aware of that and very careful to mark up what jumped out at me and what seemed obligatory and what really moved me and what I felt needed to be in the movie.

Goldenberg one of the most pivotal scenes, the pensieve:

…that kind of loss of innocence – seeing a parent whom you’ve idolized suddenly revealed as flawed, and an authority like Snape, whom you’ve demonized, suddenly revealed as much more complicated than you first thought.

Warner Brothers has created a group online where they are hosting all the video clips they have put out from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. They also have the soundtrack clips on there.

The first review of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is now online.   The reviewer gave it 3 out of 5 stars, but I think it will be way better than that, reviewers usually give lower than what we really think.

The chief problem, though, is not really a fault of the film but the near universal Potter-literacy of its prospective audience. Most Potter fans are now laser-focused on the release of the climactic seventh book in three weeks’ time and its promise to bring together the countless loose ends.

The film, meanwhile, a necessary digest of the 800-page book, leaves us faintly annoyed that the true denouement of the cycle is now two movies distant.

For those of you in the UK, you will have a chance to watch two TV specials next month featuring the cast and crew from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The specials, Harry Potter: Behind The Magic is a behind-the-scenes look at the movie with interviews with the cast. The second show Harry Potter: The Costume Drama gives fans details into the wardrobes from the film. There will also be an airing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
