Jason Isaacs attended the press night of Sister Act in London and he spoke about Dan, Emma and Rupert.
It would be so great for the press if one of them would go off the rails and end up in rehab, but they are, actually, just really sweet guys. They can fall backwards on their mountains of cash,” he said. “It doesn’t matter. They’re really talented and they’ve got each other as close friends, which is all that matters because no one else has been through the same thing. What is amazing about them is that they are still respectful and have humility and work ethic. I have met and sometimes worked with their American equivalents and they have none of those things.
Jason Isaacs, who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has done a new interview and he discusses Harry Potter.
No kids recognise me, it’s only parents, and then there’s that embarrassing moment when they go, ‘Look who it is, it’s Lucius Malfoy,’ and they go, ‘No it’s not,’ so the parents ask me to do the voice and I have to say, ‘I’m in Sainsburys,’ or, ‘I’m at the dentist’. I love that I’m in the Harry Potter films, I’ve always loved kids, I was a children’s entertainer and I love making kids have a good time. If I’m round someone’s house and there’s a room of kids I’m invariably playing hide and seek or doing magic tricks or something but I’m so glad I don’t look like Lucius Malfoy in the street.
Emma Watson, Jason Isaacs, Helena Bonham Carter (pre-party only) and Brendan Gleeson attended the BAFTAs held this evening.  Emma presented an award, as you can see below. Before she presented the award Jonathon Ross announced that she has been offered a place at Cambridge universtiy!
The Jerusalem Post has a new interview with Jason Isaacs and in it he talks a bit about Harry Potter!
“We had a ridiculously good time making them,” he says, recalling specific scenes with Richard Harris, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes and, of course, Harry himself, Daniel Radcliffe.
Talking about how the last book is set to be made into two films, he says ominously, “I think that’s a mistake. After a beat, he adds, “It should be made into 10 films so I can do it for the rest of my life.”
Entertainment Weekly has a new interview with Jason Isaacs where he talks Deathly Hallows.
Next up for Isaacs: the seventh and eighth installments of the Harry Potter franchise. “I wasn’t in six so it has been a long hiatus for me and I can’t wait to get back in that world,” said Isaacs. “It is easy to get back into the mind of Lucius. I just put on the wig. The thing about that wig is that it is long and straight and the only way to get it straight is to tilt my head back and then I’m forced to look down my nose at people. And suddenly Lucius is back in town.â€
