Classic FM is asking their listeners to vote for their favorite soundtrack in the Richard Attenborough Film Awards. The Classic FM Film Music of the Year Award will go to the composer(s) of the best original film score of 2009, as voted by Classic FM listeners.

Stuart Craig nominated for ADG Awards

The Art Directors Guild (ADG) has announced nominations for their annual awards ceremony, which will be held on February 13th at the Beverly Hilton.  Stuart Craig has been nominated in the fantasy category for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Other nominees: Philip Ivey for District 9, Scott Chambliss for Star Trek, Rick Carter and Robert Stromberg for Avatar and K.K. Barrett for Where the Wild Things Are.

HBP Longlisted for BAFTA Awards

Half-Blood Prince has been longlisted for 7 BAFTA awards in the following categories; Make-Up & Hair, Special Visual Effects, Sound, Costume Design, Production Design, Cinematography and Supporting Actor (Alan Rickman as Severus Snape).

Finalists will be narrowed down from fifteen to five and nominations will be announced on January 21st. The ceremony will be at the Royal Opera House in London, England on February 21st.

People’s Choice Awards Results

As we know, Harry Potter was up for 3 People’s Choice Awards; Favorite Movie, Favorite Screen Team and Favorite Franchise. It was beaten by Twilight for all three.

All i have to say about that is: EWW!  Well we all know that Harry Potter is better, so that is all that matters, right?
