Hey everyone, do you think you are one of Emma’s or Evanna’s biggest fans? If you do I have a job/contest for you! Noahus Magazine – a Danish online publication – is looking for Emma and Evanna’s biggest fans to participate in a small e-mail interview about Emma and Harry Potter, and also Evanna and Harry Potter, and have asked for our help in finding you.
What you need to do is explain in 250 words or less why you’re Emma OR Evanna’s biggest fan. Make sure to tell me your Name, Age, and Country (these have nothing to do with winning, we just want to know where all the great fans are). Email these to me at webmiss[at]magical-menagerie[dot]com with the subject “I’m Emma’s Biggest Fan” or “I’m Evanna’s Biggest Fan”. (replace [at] with @ and [dot] with . )
Let’s get those entries coming! The deadline is February 15th!
Also, I am holding the same contest for Matt fans at Lewis Lovers! Tom Felton Online is also holding a similar contest!
Today we have a full version of an earlier photo of Emma in her People Tree Collection as well as a photo of one of her shirts! They come from an article over at Help My Style. Click the image for a larger version:
The collection includes cosy knits, organic cotton tees, poplin skirts and shorts in fabrics such as organic and fair trade cotton. The much anticipated range gives a fresh twist on Fair Trade fashion and will debut at Arnotts Project, Jervis Centre late February 2010.
‘People Tree’ garments are made by hand by fair trade groups in Bangladesh, India and Nepal. Through this action People Tree are helping to co-ordinate and provide livelihoods for underprivileged people living in these countries.
TimesOnline has a new article where we get a few more details on Emma’s collection, which will be coming out next month. They also posted 2 new photos which you can see below.
What Watson, as Creative Advisor, has done differently, is that she has plaited together several fashionable threads to appeal directly to her peers. […] but what Watson provides is an understanding that a bit of Hollister jersey blended into American Apparel basics, and topped off with humorous slogans, will mean that these clothes can transcend their worthy beginnings — and just become cool. They look comfortable too, which is vital when you consider that Uggs and leggings sell the pants of every awkward catwalk trend: there are cropped tracksuit pants, little sailor-stripe T-shirt dresses, cricket jumpers and hoodies, polo-tops and plaid shirts for the boys. As Watson herself admits, at present her competition is minimal. “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.”
[…] These hand scribbled Union Jacks and Margaret Howell-inspired pleat-front shorts, mean that People Tree can now compete with the brands that look nice but which, because of their manufacturing techniques, can never compete in terms of environmental and humanitarian awareness. I like the slogans too. “I’m not toxic”, written in a graffiti font across a plain tank top doesn’t look worthy, just as the hapzardly written “Please don’t panic. I’m organic”, actually makes you smile.
[…] The photography that accompanies the collection continues her youthful, American-college inspiration. There are clean-shaven men, looking simultaneously wholesome and sultry, alongside bright young girls with dorky facial expressions that somehow manage to look cute. If it all sounds a bit cringy then blame my powers of description: it’s a great little capsule collection with Watson’s name close by. In short, it is about delivering an important issue to a young market and, really, there is nothing wrong with that.
Marie Claire has posted a list of Emma’s 10 Best Style moments on their site. Here are the top 10 looks, and links to my other site, Sassy with guides on how to get the looks (haven’t done some of them yet)!:
