DH a Most Anticipated Film of 2010
Posted by Megs

Times Online has a new article online counting down the 50 Biggest Movies of 2010 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is number 2.

2 – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I

Part one of the final Harry Potter movie. Part two will follow in July 2011. Devoted fans have known what happens in the story since 2007; for newcomers, Harry and his pals Ron and Hermione search for some magical artefacts called Horcruxes. The plot takes the trainee wizards out of Hogwarts for much of the movie, resulting in a marked change of atmosphere compared to its predecessors.

New Matthew Lewis Interview
Posted by Megs

There is a great new interview online with Matthew Lewis where he talks about Deathly Hallows!

Q: Some fans also have a crush on Neville and on you. Did you ever expect that?

A: Definitely not for myself, but I wouldn’t begrudge it. (Laughs.) It’s cool for a 20-year-old guy to have that. When I got into “Harry Potter” that was never really the aim.

Q: What can we expect from Neville in the next film (“Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part One,” to be released in 2010)?

A: I got the final script a few weeks ago. Neville has got a lot of stuff to do. The three main students (Harry, and friends Ron Weasley and Hermoine Grainger) have been away from Hogwarts, but Neville stays and takes charge of Dumbledore’s Army (which leads the charge against Voldemort and his forces.) He is leading an underground resistance. He gets beaten and is a bit bloodied.

Q: Are you satisfied with the role he will play?

A: I think the fans are going to love it. Neville really comes through. He’s got this older demeanor. Nothing scares him anymore.

Thanks Lewis Lovers!

Hogwarts Battle Scene Filming?
Posted by Megs

Last night Chris Rankin updated his Twitter account with some very very exciting news.  He said:

in the hotel, excited for filming in the morrow, but not excited for the 5am wake-up call… 43 principal cast on set tomorrow…!

This is only an assumption but I, and many others, are guessing this means that the Battle of Hogwarts scene is being filmed!  We also know via Twitter that Matthew Lewis, James and Oliver Phelps, and Warwick Davis are also on set this week!  Matt had also mentioned the following on his twitter on Tuesday:

Well that was an awfully short day at work. Rest of the week won’t be as easy if this morning’s rehearsal was anything to go by. Love it.

Wedding Scene Set Report!!
Posted by Megs

HP4U, one of the best Harry Potter sites for exclusive filming news, has added an AWESOME set report from the Wedding Scene to their site!  You may read the whole thing by going here to the site!  I’ve also added some photos they posted to the gallery, we see more from Luna’s house and the Burrow!

Fleur (played by French actress Clemence Poesy) was radiant in a sleeveless cream dress that rolled off her like velvet waves onto the floor beneath her. On the front of the dress, embroidered in black lace were the images of two phoenixes which are just stunning and the reverse of the dress is equally as wonderful, of which, I might just show you a photo or two before the film is released!

The Weasley boys were of course quite interested in the bridesmaids, whispering amongst themselves and eyeing up the ladies approvingly. One of them had bandages wrapped around his head, indicating he had likely been in a recent battle and come out worse for wear. Adding to his chagrin was the fact that Ron had drawn a fake ear on the bandage, in place of where the real one would otherwise have been jutting up into the air.

Later on, Hermione herself strolled out onto the dance floor with a partner, oblivious to the fact that Ron was watching her the entire time, quite upset, and no doubt jealous that she would dance with another. After the dance had ended, her partner quickly disappeared, being distracted by one or more of the bridesmaids it would seem, leaving Hermione alone and somewhat embarrassed on the dance floor. As she scanned the room for where Ron was seated (and she, Ron, and Harry, had been kept apart for much of the planning and festivities), Ron quickly turned his back to her so she wouldn’t see him watching her. He then rose to his feet, glanced coolly over his shoulder back at her, and made his way from the tent. Hermione was further embarrassed by this, knowing as she must have that Ron had seen her dancing with another. She bowed her head, then turned on a dime, her bright red dress swirling around her, and walked away. Where did she go you wonder? I’m afraid that will remain a secret for now.

As the dancing reaches its peak, we see first Lupin and then Harry make appearances into the wedding tent, though both are largely ignored by the guests at large. This is the point when the madness begins. A strange glowing ball of light (Patronus) appears, and from it, a dire warning in a deathly voice “The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming.”

Thanks to Kevin for emailing!

Bill Nighy Talks Potter!
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with Bill Nighy, Rufus Scrimgeour,  he discussed the security measures to protect the movie script and more.

“They kill you, if you leave your script lying around or leave it on the bus, you’re dead,” he said, laughing.  “You have to sign a confidentiality (agreement) and stuff like that which is perfectly understandable. So if I tell you any more, they’ll come round my house.”

“It was very sweet, very nice to work with him, and with Emma and Rupert, and with David Yates as this is my fourth time working with him,” he added at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, Astro Boy.  “It’s great. I thought I was going to be the only British actor of a certain age not to be in Harry Potter and it turned out not to be true so it’s kind of cool.”

Thanks HPANA!
