Christian Coulson Starring in ‘Everything You Touch’ in NYC
Posted by Megs

Christian Coulson, who played Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is now starring in the play ‘Everything You Touch‘ at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in New York City. A synopsis of the play is as follows:

Victor is a ruthless fashion designer in the 1970s at the top of his game. Esme, his glamorous protégé and muse, is pushed aside when an ordinary Southern woman inspires Victor to make his artistry accessible to the masses. A generation later, a woman grappling with a healthy dose of self-loathing must wrestle her own family demons to find her way through the world of fashion that won’t give a woman her size a second look. Skipping back and forth in time, Everything You Touch is a viciously funny look at the struggle to find an identity that’s more than skin deep.

Student tickets for the play are $16, and Under 30 tickets are $21. Regular tickets are $56, but right now you can use RIDDLEEYT30 to get them for $30.

Performance Schedule

Christian Coulson Participating in “The Meeting” In NYC
Posted by Megs

Christian Coulson, best known to Potter fans for his role as Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, will be participating in this month’s installment of The Meeting. It is a monthly comedy/variety show that honors a different celebrity for their contributions to gay culture. This month the show will honor the cult-favorite TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, on March 16 at Joe’s Pub. Tickets may be purchased here.

Some information on the show, thanks to Theatre Mania‘s interview with creator Justin Sayre, may be read below:

What is a typical show like?

If it’s a musical person, we try to pick from the cannon, [doing the songs] in a really interesting way. We did Cher months ago and Cole Escola got up and sang ”Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves” as a ballad, and it was amazing! For David Bowie, Joseph Keckler brought in a violin and a sound machine and made a really intimate song out a beautiful Bowie song. As far as the rest of the show, because it is topical, we have a little license [to] do skits about other things as well. We always try to keep it light and funny, but we’re never making fun of the people we honor. We’re really trying to be reverent because it means something to people.

How do you decide who to honor at The Meeting*?

At the core of the show, there’s this real sense of community. So it’s fun to pick something that’s cross-generational and all over the map so that we can get as many people excited about it as possible. The other thing to say is it’s never about imitation. It’s always about the interpretation of what they did. And that’s something that I think really sets the show apart.
