Fantastic Beasts Wins Academy Award for Costume Design

While the Harry Potter films earned twelve nominations they never won an Academy Award. The drought is over because Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has won the Oscar for Best Costume Design at the 2017 Academy Awards! The film is also up for Best Production Design, we will update this post with the results. Update: Unfortunately Fantastic Beasts was beat by La La Land in the Best Production Design category.
