Harry Potter stars Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) and Kenneth Branagh (Gilderoy Lockhart) will be honored at The Moet British Independent Film Awards, taking place on December 4th, for their contributions to British film!

Ralph Fiennes will receive the Richard Harris Award for contribution to British film by an actor.  Many other Potter stars have held this honor in the past such as Helena Bonham Carter (2010), David Thewlis (2008), Jim Broadbent (2006), and John Hurt (2003). Richard Harris (the original Dumbledore) was the first recipient posthumously in 2002.

Kenneth Branagh will be the recipient of the Variety Award for focusing the international spotlight on British cinema.  J.K. Rowling won this award in the past for Harry Potter.

  • Brendan Gleeson [Moody] – Best Actor for The Guard
