Harry Potter a 100 Greatest Character of the Last 20 Years
Posted by Megs

Entertainment Weekly has posted their list of 100 Greatest Characters of the Last 20 Years and Harry Potter has come in at number 2!

Daniel Radcliffe: “The books will be around for decades to come which makes me wonder if in 30 years time, we will be seeing remakes of all these movies. I have a very dark suspicion that that will happen, although I don’t particularly want it to!”

EW: If you could have spent your adolescence playing any other character, who would it be?

Daniel Radcliffe: “I was always unbelievably jealous of Tobey Maguire playing Spider-Man. I do think Spidey is the coolest of the superheroes.”

The list will be in the June 4 issue of Entertainment Weekly which releases tomorrow.

Thanks TLC!

Emma and Dan Talk End of Potter
Posted by Megs

In a new interview Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe discuss the end of Harry Potter and their feelings about it.

Radcliffe told the London Evening Standard: ‘It’s going to be bizarre. I’m going to be devastated. It’s going to be very, very sad because it’s been such an important part of my life. There will never be one scene in any of the Harry Potters that, when I watch it, won’t trigger a series of memories about what that day was about and what I was doing. So everything is so linked to my life and growing up. But at the same time, it will be exciting. It puts a pretty nice punctuation mark on my adolescence. I feel grown-up now.’

Watson added: ‘None of us could say that we predicted this kind of love and recognition. It’s just incredible. I’m just so unbelievably proud to have been part of this. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.  I feel like someone’s dying, I know that sounds like an exaggeration but I really do. I’m not planning to do anything this summer – I’m going to need time to collect myself and get myself back together a bit. So I’ll take a bit of a break.’

Radcliffe joked: ‘I do hope I can continue to find some kind of employment after this – otherwise it’s panto!’ Asked which item he would like to keep from the film set, he replied: ‘I would steal the glasses. If they’re not given to me properly I’ll steal them.’

UPDATE: There is now a video:

Today we have some more Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Epilogue photos. These feature Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, (possibly) Rose Weasley, (possibly) Teddy Lupin, Albus Severus Potter, and James Sirius Potter!  They might be the body doubles of the children, we can’t be too sure. But they are still good shots nonetheless.

Posted by Megs

Heat Vision is reporting that Gary Oldman will be voicing a character in the new Kung Fu Panda sequel, The Kaboom of Doom.  Gary plays Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films.

Gary Oldman has joined the voice cast of DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom.” Jennifer Yuh Nelson is directing the film, slated for a summer 2011 release.

“Kaboom” is a 3D sequel to the successful 2008 film about Po, a panda voiced by Jack Black. The story centres on Po’s search for other pandas and his run-in with a group of bandits. Oldman voices a character named Peacock who helps Po find the bandits but is more than he seems.

Filmonic is reporting that Frank Dillane is one of five young actors in consideration to play Spiderman in the  4th film, which will show a younger Peter Parker than we saw from Tobey Maguire.  Frank played Young Tom Riddle in Half-Blood Prince.

Columbia wants to begin production on the Spider-Man reboot by the end of the year, and in order to do that they will need their Peter Parker. According to Heat Vision director Marc Webb has been meeting with actors quietly for several months, and has narrowed the list down to five possible candidates over the past week or two.

The movie will be released on July 3rd 2012 so they will have to decide soon.  More news as this develops!
