JKR sues publisher of the London Star Map?
Posted by Megs

According to PerezHilton.com, JK Rowling has filed a lawsuit against the publisher of the London Star Map.

The celebrity map reportedly has details of the Harry Potter author’s London residence and clear instructions on how to get there, something Rowling considers ‘a gross invasion of privacy’.
In a statement, J.K. Rowling said, “The sole aim of London Star Map is self-evidently to incite, encourage and enable members of the public to track down and locate the exact location of private residences of various recognisable “celebrities” so that they can visit those residences.” Rowling continued, “I’m a very private individual who regards my family’s privacy and safety as having paramount importance. ”

At this point I am not sure if this is true, if it is proven to be false I will post an update.

Alan and Miranda in Reading Room
Posted by Megs

The Independent posted a preview for Reading Room, presented by the London Contemporary Dance Theatre. Alan Rickman and Miranda Richardson will be participating in this.

Richardson, a friend of Lunn’s who will also be narrating one of the London performances, says they will by no means be the main attraction. “The dancers will be doing the majority of the work,” said Richardson. “I’ve been at rehearsals and they are amazing to watch.”

The piece explores the relationship between physical and verbal communication through contemporary dance and oral readings. It will be narrated by the aforementioned actors in a series of performances across the country. Samuel Beckett’s last prose work, Stirrings Still, poems by Raymond Carver and Billy Collins, and an original work written and pre-recorded by the late Anthony Minghella, will provide the texts that will accompany the work of five dancers.

Reading Room will be at Southbank Centre in London on June 5 and 6. There will be various performances across the UK until June 28.

ACED mag. interview at FL Supercon
Posted by Megs

ACED Magazine got an interview with the Harry Potter stars during last month’s Florida Supercon. Natalia Tena, Hugh Mitchell, Devon Murray, and Danielle Tabor were in attendance.

We all had to lean closer as Natalia Tena spent a few seconds whispering in imitation of David Yates, making the others laugh in agreement. “He is awesome. He’s so soft spoken. You don’t even know how he gets stuff done. Most other directors, like in theatre, are like, €Lights! What are you doing? Get him to do that!'” yells Natalia, and then bursts into laughter.

Devon adds, “He’s just more laid back than all the other directors. Besides Alfonso Cuaron (Prisoner of Azkaban), he was just real hip. He was like ‘Go on, yeah. Do it. Do it.’ Whereas, Dave… he would ask [everyone] on the set: What is your input, what do you want to happen in the scene? Like, if you would say to him, ‘Well, if I was to do this and he was to do that,’ he’ll film that and then he’ll try it his way. So it’s nice to have your own input into the movie as well.”

Thanks for the tip HarryPottersPage
