The folks at the art gallery Nucleus have emailed to ask me to share the details of an awesome exhibition they will be having from July 9th through August 1st at their studio in Alhambra, California. Starting on July 9th there will be a special Harry Potter art exhibition featuring art from the likes of Mary GrandPre (US Book Cover artist) and Drew Struzan (illustrator of the original HP movie posters) among others. On the 9th there will be an opening reception from 7pm-11pm
During the opening reception attendees who come in costume will receive a free door prize and be divided into schools for trivia and other games. There will also be complimentary butterbeer, mystery flavored jelly bellies, and other treats.

Spotlight Events have emailed to let me know that they are holding a “Back to Hogwarts” event in Paris, from the 26th to the 28th of August 2011. The tickets will be on sale from Sunday 9th of January at 5pm UK time. The link to buy them will be on the Spotlight Events website.

Since tomorrow will be the start of 2011 I thought it was only fitting to do a recap of 2010 in Harry Potter news. So here are some of the big things that have happened for Potter fans:
2011 will be a very exciting, and sad year for Potter fans as the movie series comes to a close, but we will always have the books ad films to look back on as well as the theme park. And we will continue to follow the careers of all the actors.
