The Children’s BAFTA, now the British Academy Children’s Awards will announce their nominees for this year’s awards on Monday. But there is early information and that tells us that the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie and game have been nominated in the ‘Feature Film’ and the new games categories.

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 25th in London

We now have some more information on the Order of the Phoenix DVD. According to the British Board of Film Classification the run times for two of the DVD features are as follows:

The Rebellion Begins” which runs 23m 10s and includes interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman, Gary Oldman.

“Fulfilling a Prophecy” which runs 13m 0s and is based on the HBO special look at the fifth movie.

Also, Amazon has updated their information on the Limited Edition DVD set.

Well I went shopping today (got lots of HP stuff!) and I saw that there is a special edition of Expose magazine out. According to the cover it has:

50 pages of cast and crew interviews on the new movie, including Daniel Radcliffe himself!

The magazine is on stands now and is $9.99. There is also a normal edition that also has Harry on the cover, but I didn’t buy that one so I don’t know if it has anything different. That one was $8.99.

This article states that:

Warner Home Video will include two downloadable digital files on its Dec. 11 DVD release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
The latest Potter installment will allow DVD buyers to download the film to a PC or a portable device, making Warner the first studio to so marry physical media and downloads.
“You can buy the DVD and have the option of the digital copy,” said Wuthrich. “This future-proofs the format for consumers.”

The DVD will be released December 11th in the US.

For the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, visual effects supervisor Tim Burke who won a visual effects Oscar for Gladiator and received an Oscar nomination for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, cites new creatures and environments as some of the most exciting effects work.
