Gary Oldman Talks Harry Potter and Daniel Radcliffe
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with Metro Sirius Black actor Gary Oldman briefly talks about the Harry Potter series and Daniel Radcliffe.

Are you sad about the end of Harry Potter?

No I’m not but I’m sure that David Yates [director of  the last four films] is, because he  will never be allowed to work as slowly again.

Have you taken on any sort of godfather-ish role for real in Daniel Radcliffe’s life.

I know that, as an actor, Dan holds me in high regard. But it’s so strange. I saw him about a year ago here in LA and we had dinner. Here’s this kid who has done Equus and was about to star on Broadway singing and dancing. And he’s fearless. I remember this wonderfully bright kid who was 12 or 13 when I first worked with him.  He’s a man now. It’s funny to watch.

Gary Oldman Talks Harry Potter and the Trio
Posted by Megs

In a new interview Gary Oldman briefly discusses Harry Potter and Dan, Emma & Rupert. He says:

I just think that the whole series is a mindbending achievement. It’s phenomenal that it’s been going for as long as it’s been going for. Ten years, seven films, and they’ve pretty well kept all the cast.

That is just a feat unto itself because these kids – Emma, Dan and Rupert – have gone through puberty and life lessons. There could have been drug addiction and all sorts of horrific things, but they kept all of these kids and they all have their heads on straight.

Who would have known that the three of them would continue to have the chops that we saw they had when they were first cast at 10 years of age and make it all the way through, holding the screen the way that they have. I give them props and I tip my hat to them. Job well done!

Gary Oldman to Voice Character in Kung Fu Panda Sequel
Posted by Megs

Heat Vision is reporting that Gary Oldman will be voicing a character in the new Kung Fu Panda sequel, The Kaboom of Doom.  Gary plays Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films.

Gary Oldman has joined the voice cast of DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom.” Jennifer Yuh Nelson is directing the film, slated for a summer 2011 release.

“Kaboom” is a 3D sequel to the successful 2008 film about Po, a panda voiced by Jack Black. The story centres on Po’s search for other pandas and his run-in with a group of bandits. Oldman voices a character named Peacock who helps Po find the bandits but is more than he seems.

Alan, Jason & Gary Hollywood’s 10 Most Eeeeevil Actors
Posted by Megs

Moviefone has posted their list of Hollywood’s 10 Most Eeeeevil Actors and 10 Potter stars have made the list!

9. Gary Oldman
Oldman is so good at being bad, even his “good” roles are a bit on the dark side, like Harry Potter’s godfather Sirius Black or Gotham police captain Jim Gordon. His unabashedly-malevolent characters — legendary vampire ‘Dracula,’ a wannabe presidential assassin in ‘Air Force One,’ vengeful Lecter victim in ‘Hannibal’ and his latest turn as a post-apocalyptic crime boss in ‘The Book of Eli’ — create a fabulous filmography of bad-natured souls.

6. Jason Isaacs
The steely-eyed Brit’s standout performance as the sadistic Redcoat who kills Mel Gibson’s sons in ‘The Patriot’ set the tone for his popularity as Voldemort’s deliciously evil Death Eater — with awesome hair — Lucius Malfoy in the ‘Harry Potter’ series. On the small screen, Isaacs impressed critics as a hot-headed Providence mobster in Showtime’s drama ‘Brotherhood.’

1. Alan Rickman
Maybe it’s the deep and imposing voice, or because he’s got a mean sneer, but Rickman is always game to play a nasty character. He has memorably depicted the slimy and seemingly-traitorous Severus Snape in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, the greedy and perverted Judge Turpin in ‘Sweeney Todd’ and terrorist Hans Gruber in the original ‘Die Hard.’ We love Rickman when he’s good, but when he’s bad, he’s irresistible.

Thanks Leaky!
