MTV has released a first look of Emma Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The video also has a brief interview with Emma.
“I feel incredible about it. I feel like I’ve been waiting for ‘Perks,’ ” Watson said. “I was waiting for this story, for this script, for this moment, for these people to do it with me. I’m so glad I didn’t do anything that I didn’t care about.”
“I don’t think there will be one teenager who will watch this and not have one story or one moment that they don’t deeply feel they can relate to,” Watson said.
Emma Watson recently spoke to Hello! Magazine and now thanks to SS we have scans from the issue that you can view in the gallery. In the interview she talks about love, her Lancome campaign and more. Some snippets from the interview may be read below:
You were involved in the storyline for the film for a campaign – about a chance meeting in Paris between a beautiful woman and a handsome shop assistant… What I love about the story that we put together is that it’s more about fate, about chance that brings the two characters together. It’s the idea that life is magical and full of surprises and that you never know what’s going to be at the next turn or the net corner.
The film hints at a came of love. Are you romantic? I’ve always been a hopeless romantic. I think, ‘Why not?’ It’s nice. I think there’s a perception that perhaps my generation doesn’t believe in romance so much. I would be tempted to disagree and say we do still believe in romance, seduction and gallantry, but that courtship and the game is played a different way.
You are now a fashion leader. Who are your favorite designers? Just casually, I love to wear Isabel Marant, APC, Agnes B and Chloe.
Tell us about Hermione, the role that changed your life… Hermione is my literary heroine. She is such a great character and a wonderful person, so I feel incredibly privileged to have played her and to have started my career in the way I have. And now, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are like my brothers.
Who would you most like to work with? Emma: I would love to work with directors Baz Luhrmann, Guillermo del Toro, Richard Curtis and Darren Aronofsky. In terms of actors, I love Philip Seymour Hoffman, James McAvoy, Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren. I’d love to do some Shakespeare one day and play Juliet or Ophelia.
