16 More New Deathly Hallows Promos
Posted by Megs

Thanks to The Telegraph we have a 16 more photos from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. You can see the photos in the gallery!  The photos show a myriad of things some being: the dragon, the final battle, Harry and Voldemort, Bellatrix, Ron, Hermione, and tons more!   There is also an article in the Daily Mail that features the photos and has some text to go along with them:

The fairytale is definitely over. If these scenes are anything to go by, the next Harry Potter movie will be a rather grown-up affair. The scenes, from the trailer of the first part of the adaptation of the final book, look more like a disturbing thriller than a children’s fantasy tale. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint all star in what is being hailed as the darkest Potter film yet.

UPDATE: One more of Ron added thanks to USA Today. They also have an interview with Producer David Heyman:

The new movie focuses heavily on Harry’s tangles with the evil Lord Voldemort. “Harry and Voldemort go wand to wand in the courtyard,” says longtime producer David Heyman.

In one scene, Voldemort grabs Harry’s face and malevolently hisses “Why do you live?” And brave Harry responds, “Because I have something to live for.”

These last two films will be the first to be shown in IMAX 3-D.

“The technology has developed and offers great possibilities,” Heyman says. “We won’t be going for that ‘wow, things always jumping out at you’ effect. I think the best 3-D doesn’t have to be aggressive. We’ll be pushing back from the screen. We’re going for an organic, truthful 3-D.”

But what about 3-D fatigue among audiences? “Those people who aren’t keen to embrace the 3-D of it all will have plenty of opportunities to watch it in 2-D,” he says. Technical advances have leaped forward over the course of the series. “A lot of the stuff we do in this film, we couldn’t have done on the first film,” says Heyman. “The quality of the visual effects is so much better. (House elves) Kreacher and Dobby will be so much better realized than in the previous films since we have new technology to better capture their faces.

“What I love about these films is the blend of old and new technology.”

New Deathly Hallows Promotional Photos!
Posted by Megs

Today a few new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows promotional photos have made their way online!  You can see the photos here in the gallery! (I won’t post them here in case some people want to wait to see them in the trailer.) I assume that WB will be sending us High Resolution versions soon!

One clip sees him take on his evil nemesis Lord Voldemort, played by Ralph Fiennes, in a showdown that has shades of Star Wars and could be just as epic.

Harry’s friends fare little better. Hermione (played by Emma Watson, 20) and Ron (Rupert Grint, 21) look to be taking on the forces of darkness just as much as the main boy this time.

The official synopsis says Part 1 sees Harry, Ron and Hermione ‘set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality’.

The trio ‘must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are dark forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart’.

Thanks for emailing Katie!
