Monthly Contest – March 2010

Well…sadly no one entered the contest last month, SO DEPRESSING, it makes me feel unloved. So if no one enters this month, I won’t even bother anymore.. Here’s the contest, same as last month since no one did it: What is one thing in one of the Harry Potter movies that you would change and why? Your change could be adding a scene that you wanted in the movie, or it could be removing a scene the filmmaker added, or tweaking an already existing scene, etc.
The prize is Snape Friend/Foe bookmarks! The bookmark was a promo released for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book release. Here’s how the prizes work:

Probably the movie that irritated me the most as far as not conforming to the books was the The Half Blood Prince. If I could change one thing in this movie, it would be the scene where Harry and Ginny first kissed. I think it would have had a much better effect if it had been done as per the book (in the middle of the Gryffindor common room after the Quiddich match Harry missed). I really liked that scene in the book as I thought it was very special and showed both Harry and Ginny’s feelings very well. I disliked the scene being changed to a private thing in the Room of Requirement in the movie because it was way too much like Harry’s kiss with Cho. So, I would like to change this scene in the movie and make it like it was in the book. |
