Time for Kids has a new interview with Daniel Radcliffe. Here are a few snippets:
TIME: Do you plan to go to college?
Radcliffe: No, I don’t. I am continuing my education. I have two weekly tutorials with a friend of mine who is also an English teacher. He comes on set and we talk through plays and books and poems. It’s a privilege.
TIME: What do you think about the way J.K. Rowling formed the plots of the books?
Radcliffe: Obviously, it’s inspired. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have done nearly as well as they have. They have taken the best bits of different kinds of literature. It’s the latest in a long line of orphan literature. There’s the English boarding school. There’s the good-vs.-evil thing. The fact that she came up with the entire thing on one train journey is pretty remarkable.
TIME: Are you a Harry Potter fan?
Radcliffe: I am a fan of the books, certainly. In terms of the films, I enjoy watching everyone but myself very, very much. I don’t like watching myself. I don’t think many actors do. But, yeah, I am a fan. If I weren’t, I would’ve stopped ages ago.
TIME: Both The Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows are quite different from previous installments. How have you prepared yourself for the plot’s darker, deeper scenes?
Radcliffe: To be honest, that’s the kind of stuff I like doing and gravitate toward naturally. It probably comes easier to me than the comedy. On those days, I generally try to be as isolated as possible and listen to lots of music that will hopefully kind of depress me or get me into a less exuberant state.

During a panel discussion, Joshua Herdman (Goyle) revealed the (current) split point for both Deathly Hallows films. This can change as you know, because films always adapt and change.
Herdman said that the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows just after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor.

There is a new article online that tells us that Daily Prophet style magazines may be coming sooner than we think!
The first-ever video advertisement will be published in a traditional paper magazine in September. The video-in-print ads will appear in select copies of the US show business title Entertainment Weekly. The slim-line screens – around the size of a mobile phone display – also have rechargeable batteries. The chip technology used to store the video – described as similar to that used in singing greeting cards – is activated when the page is turned. Each chip can hold up to 40 minutes of video. The first clips will preview programmes from US TV network CBS and show adverts by the drinks company Pepsi. They will appear in 18 September editions of the magazine distributed in Los Angeles and New York.
VIDEO TECHNOLOGY
Screen uses liquid crystal display (LCD) technology
Each is 2.7mm thick with 320×240 resolution
Can store 40mins of video
Battery can be recharged via mini-USB
Rechargeable battery lasts up to 70 mins
