David Heyman Talks Deathly Hallows Part II
Posted by Megs

In a new interview with SFX, Harry Potter producer David Heyman talks about the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, being in 3D.  The full interview is in the latest issue of SFX magazine, so be sure to check it out!

David Yates is approaching 3D is he’s trying to approach it from a character and story point of view. Trying to use the sense of isolation, of separation that sometimes 3D gives you, to heighten that at appropriate moments. So we’re approaching it in a storytelling way. In terms of Deathly Hallows Part One, we just ran out of time and in discussion with the studio, we told them we couldn’t preserve the quality and make the movie the way we wanted to deliver it if we made it in 3D. And they understood, and they were supportive. Funnily enough I think this last film will benefit more from the 3D than the first one would have. It‘s more epic and operatic. The first one was a more intimate film so 3D didn’t feel as germane. But ultimately, we’ve done 3D for the Blu-ray so Part One will be available in 3D in your home at some point.”

Video Tom Felton Talks Deathly Hallows With Empire
Posted by Megs

As you recall, yesterday Empire released a quick video interview with Rupert Grint, today they have released one with Tom Felton (there is also a longer text version).

What was your last scene?
There were a couple. One of my last scenes as a group was us, 19 years on, on the platform at King’s Cross. That was really quite fitting, because one of my first scenes was as a 10 year old being put on the train there, ten years ago literally to the day, so it was really weird and suitable that that fit. My very last one was a night shoot on 2nd unit just by myself. I was shot walking away after the battle, I believe, so again, that was really nice because there’s always a tighter feeling with the 2nd unit crew.
