Total Film Features DH Information
Posted by Megs

In Total Film‘s latest issue they have some new information on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Director Davis Yates, producer David Heyman, screenwriter Steven Kloves, and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) spoke with them while on the set.

Yates called Part I a road film, saying it was dynamic, adrenalised, and visceral. He continued, “It’s a refugee story about three kids cut off from everything they know and everybody they love, being pursued relentlessly by people who want to murder them.”

He then pondered about the split and how one should go about splitting one story to make it two distinct stories. “Do you break it with a moment of suspense or one of resolution?” he asked aloud.

He also called Part II,  “A big opera, a great big epic, with huge battles.”

Emma said she felt she was on a different film as this film doesn’t have the structure that the previous films had.  She explained, “The others have this structure. You know, we come into the Great Hall and there’s the opening talk. And that’s gone.”

Screenwriter Steven Kloves gave a bit of a hint about the split, saying it was the most sound creative decision on where the split occurs.  He also stated that the split will give a proper send-off to certain characters, “It should allow us to stretch a bit with the characters and give them the proper send-off.”

Thanks SS!

Video from DH Set!
Posted by Megs

London Taxi Tours has just posted a new video revealing more filming going on in Swinley Forest.  See the video here on YouTube. It has shots of various areas in the forest prepared for filming. (At 2:09 you’ll see shots of wigwam-like huts built solely out of sticks. At 3:11 you’ll see something like a treehouse and a ladder to get in.)

Thanks Mugglenet! I would have posted this sooner but I was moving back into school! (ew!)

Help Haiti Heal
Posted by Megs

Well the telethon for Help Haiti Heal has finished up about 20 minutes ago and we all made over $34,000!  I also talked to Matt Lewis a little earlier this evening and he said he would probably donate something to the cause! He actually went on to the live podcast for a while along with Evanna Lynch.  So far he has donated following people on Twitter if you donate $50 (that might be over now).

Evanna mentioned she could probably donate some signed Potter items as well as making a phoenix necklace (like her raddish earrings).

Tom Felton has also pledged to donate a signed guitar!

Thank you everyone and keep donating to the cause! http://thehpalliance.org/haiti

Rupert and Jamie CB In InStyle UK!
Posted by Megs

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Jamie Campbell Bower (Gellert Grindelwald) were featured in the March issue of UK’s In Style magazine.  We now have a scan of the two along with another actress:

Rupert Grint
You might recognize him from: the Harry Potter films; Driving Lessons; Thunderpants.
What’s next? Cherrybomb, Wild Target, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Part II.
Stellar moment: “There’s been talk that I have a nude scene in Cherrybomb, but it’s just topless, really. It was embarrassing, but tastefully done! And yes, I’m going to miss Harry Potter when it ends next year.”

Jamie Campbell Bower
You might recognize him from: The Twlight Saga: New Moon, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
What’s next? The Prisoner, London Boulevard, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Part II.
Stellar moment: “Twilight is crazy. On the morning of the LA premiere, I heard a commotion at 6:30am – the queue for the cinema had reached our hotel!

Thanks to our friends at Rupert-Grint.us!
