Universal Orlando has released a high resolution image of Hogwarts castle at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park. You can see the photo by heading over to the gallery!

The magical transformation continues.  Although still very much a work in progress, the magnificence of Hogwarts castle is beginning to take shape above Hogsmeade as work continues on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  Hogwarts will be the home of a thrilling, new, state-of-the-art attraction – Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey – that uses ground-breaking technology to bring the magic, characters and stories of Harry Potter to life in ways never before experienced. Set to open in Spring 2010 only at Universal Orlando Resort, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will feature multiple themed attractions, shops and a restaurant.

Harry Potter Power Book Preview
Posted by Megs

Thanks to Dr Julie-Ann for sending in a little preview of her book, Harry Potter Power, that I posted about earlier.  First we have a little poem:

POWERS FROM THE WORLD OF PSYCHE
GUIDE THE WAY LIKE STARS AND SUN
PSYCHOLOGY, MYTH, AND MAGIC
CALLED TOGETHER, BOUND AS ONE.
SO WHEN YOUR TEARS OR FEARS OR NIGHTMARES
CAUSE YOUR FALL, YOUR DARKEST HOUR
USE GOOD THOUGHTS, SKILLS, AND ACTIONS
AND YOUR HEART – TO FREE YOUR POWER!

Next is the first line of the book:

“As the magic world of Harry Potter shows, power – the ability to be your happiest, healthiest, and highest self – arises from the strangest and most unexpected places”.

Enjoy! You can visit the book’s mini site here to learn more and to purchase the book!  Also, here is the book’s page on Amazon, should you wish to find out when they will have it available.

I am watching Masterpiece Classics: Emma on PBS and Michael Gambon is in it! He plays Emma’s father, Mr. Woodhouse

Part 1 of 3 is on tonight on PBS right now (9pm).  The 2nd part is on the same time on January 31st, and the 3rd the next weekend (I assume).  You can also watch it online by going here (starting tomorrow).
